Bar-coding each item before it is installed allows equipment to be easily identified. If it becomes faulty or requires mending, the facilities manager simply scans the item and contacts Input. Using the barcode number, we can re-design the product off-site if necessary and send in staff to efficiently repair or replace the item with minimum disruption.
Asset Tagging goes one step further. A unique invisible tag on every item stores information including the make and model number of the item, its colour and fabric codes, warranty data and where and when it was fitted. This enables facilities managers to comply with Health and Safety regulations as the age of items can be instantly identified. It also provides an invaluable resource when addressing security issues or determining a company's asset worth for insurance purposes.
